The Legend of Ika Takozushi
Author: Stephen P. Lepisto
& Jennifer Diane Reitz

Artist: Jennifer Diane Reitz
The story that started them all - made by the creators of the Kamishibai program and distribued along with it. It's the tale of the brave warrior Ika Takozushi and his student Ton.

Despite being four years old, this story has lost nothing of its charm - it's as witty and entertaining as when I first viewed it. Jennifer's art is very pleasing to the eye, too.

If you're new to Kamishibai, this story will enchant you and make you want to read more. If you've been around for some time, why not read it again and travel back to the days when the world was young and all Kamishibai stories were good and interesting? (Gee, I sound like an old lady....)

And so our hero set off to find Mount Doom... or was it the Death Star... no wait, I think... Oh, I dunno. Cool Guys Evil Creatures Humor Darkness
The Legend of Mitar
Author: Boris A. Klaunzer
Artist: Boris A. Klaunzer using some borrowed art

Available at Chis-kun's Crypt of Kami

Listen to the story of a brave warrior named Mitar who fights the Absolut Evil (TM). His opponent keeps changing names in order to confuse him, but worry not! Our hero will defeat the darkness, even if he has to use every last clichee in the book to do it.

A nice mix of various well-known motifs creates a story that's both funny and original. Unfortunately, not original enough and not funny enough. Some good special effects, although the animations are a bit too slow and a "see it again" link (one going to the same scene) wouldn't be out of place sometimes.

The author is not a native English speaker so I'll leave aside the spelling and grammar, except for one thing which could have been a good joke: Absolut is a brand of vodka. As opposed to the word "absolute".
