Weird, unnecessarily violent, and totally pointless. I like it. ^_^

If you're a South Park fan and MsPaint graphics don't scare you off, go ahead.

Alex-chan Loves This Story! Review by:
Chibi Alex-chan
Gah, this story is great! This the sotra story I always wished I could write! The lavish detail our narrator, Caia, gives us is fantastic and really makes me feel as if I'm really there. And of course the plot twists are to die for! I'll rip my hair out if ElaineMc doesn't continue this story! I mean, the first part is so wonderful I have high hopes for the rest of this story. I command you, go read it now!!
Story: 6+
Art: 5
Music & SFX: 4 (Nothing too fancy, but well picked)
Fancy stuff: 4+ (Again, not much fancy stuff, but then again this very strong story doesn't need anything fancy)

The Stone of Destiny
Author: Cori Falls

Princess Calleigh na Leenane, forbidden from inheritting the kingdom of Connaught by her father, the evilly incompetant Malthaine, is forced to marry the next suitor who comes by. Calleigh doesn't stand for that, however, and she simply leaves the kingdom seeking the ways of magic. In her studies, she learns that gaining a piece of Lia Fail, the Stone of Destiny, will allow her to finally regain her birthright. But getting the stone will be no easy task...

Released shortly after The Epic of the Lumberjack, Cori Falls proves as able as her brother to tell a good story. Though the art is pretty cheap, it works, and the plot is full of twists. Calli herself is a rather likeable hero, ready to kick butt and prove to the world that girls aren't merely damsels in distress.

The story is also chock full of references to Celtic mythology and Irish folklore, which show how much effort was put into the actual writing. Yet, as serious as the story can get, it's also rather humorous, especially because of the choice of sound clips. However, it really shows that she's the sister of Matthew Falls, because several backgrounds and sound clips are borrowed from his story, but seeing how they're related, I'm sure he had no problem with it ^_^ Also, there's a great soundtrack, mostly from Zelda and Final Fantasy, but nothing wrong with that in my book! I suppose the only real downfall to this story is that it leaves open the possibility of another series with Calli, but the author wound up quitting Kamishibai. A shame, but the story still stands well alone, so it doesn't detract.
Extras: **** (For the nifty theme music!)
