Not So Blank Verse

"Not so blank verse" was a performative textual installation where Paul M Stafford wrote poetry on request for the Nottingham public. The public were allowed to set any topic as the subject matter for the poem, and within 20 minutes they had a copy of the requested poem, handwritten and signed by the artist.

Listed below are the twelve poems that resulted from the installation. When you go to the page that displays the poetry, each poem will have a start and finish time, the length of time the poem took to write, the length and ammount of verses in the poem, the name of the member of the public who requested the poem, the subject matter that they chose as the topic for the poem, the title of the poem and the poem itself.

Paul M Stafford aimed to write three or more poems per hour, having written twelve poems in total he achieved his aim.
