Okay, the table at the left works now. Clicking on any of the titles in the "Info" column will take you to the info page for that item.

Sorry about the table at the left not doing anything yet, I've been working on something else and haven't had the time to update the page as ofter as I was there for a while.

Added Single-shot sniper mode. A new way to kill from a distance. I think I'm gonna like using this one. I'd been thinking about it for a while, and decided to finally write it. Binding to szSingle allows you to zoom in, fire your weapon, and as soon as you stop, the display will zoom out automatically, allowing you to get on your way instantly.

I started to write a whole tutorial thing about how the configs work, but forget it. If you want to learn how this stuff works, go to DEATHLOK'S QUAKE 2 CONFIGURATION page, he'll explain everything. Basically, these are the configs I play with, and the menu system I use to control them. I developed the menu system to get around the problem of Gamespy not loading autoexec.cfg files. I still have a few things to do to it, but it allows you to change setups on the fly.

Why so many files?

I separated computer-specific information into System.cfg mainly so I could edit my configs and use them at home, or over at my friend Lord Demon's house (He has a cable modem, the bastard) without having to cut and paste the video setup every time. I split the server stuff out into it's own file. Then, I split my personal information into two halves, my basic configuration stuff, and my fancy stuff. These files (wcBase.cfg and wcAux.cfg) comprise most of the "meat" of my configuration, but they are never loaded on their own. Instead, the menu system executes ONE config file of your choosing, and it is up to THAT file to load the Base and Auxiliary layers, and then apply any changes for it's particular game, or mod.

This system works great, and I can mix and match pieces to my heart's content. I can also make seperate configs for different people, in case you share a computer with anyone (Roommates, kids, etc), without overwriting each other's configs all the time. I preface MY files with "wc" for "Wraith's config". I highly recommend prefixing your config files to keep them separate from anyone elses who might want to use your computer.

Whaddya think?

Give me any feedback you have, and If I'm not overrun with eMail, I'll keep you posted with any changes. Keep your eyes peeled for my "Wheelie Menus". These will be on the way shortly, but here's the general idea. Roll the wheel to select "mode" (IE weapon select, zoom mode, trash talk), press the wheel to select that menu. Now roll the wheel to select an item from that menu, press the wheel to select, and the wheel reverts to "menu-mode".

I may leave this one for Quake3 so I can use some real scripting to do this. Trying to do something this complex with simple aliases and binds is a mess.
