Barbiere

Francois Zavier Barbiere a carpenter, and Francoise Jeune are the parents of Apollina Barbiere was born 1835 at Epinal, France
Apollina Barbiere married in Paris at Sainte-Clotilde church, on 1 May 1856 to George Beaupeurt born c1828, supported by their brothers, Jean Pierre Beaupeurt and Jean Nicholas Barbier. Neither Apollina's parents or the two brothers appear in the Paris index of marriages.
George and Apollina (Adelaide) Beaupeurt arrived at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on the Masanella from Bordeaux, France on 15 March 1858.
Adelaide's naturalisation Memorial is dated 28 Nov 1877, the day after George's Inquest and Burial. She was naturalised 20 Dec 1877. Reference numbers are CRS A726 Vol 1, page 164 and CRS A727 No 1193, with a 6 page Memorial CRS A712 Item 77/M13898. Here we learn that Adelaide was born at Ysches, Dept of Vosges and came to Australia on the Masanella from Bordeaux, France.
There is more on the Beaupeurt couple and their family at these pages. In March 2004, thanks to the villiage being recorded and released on the web, I was able to learn that George Beaupeurt was the 10th child, with a twin sister, born 9 April 1818 in Bisping, now called Belles-Forets, a village between Dieuze and Sarrebourg in Lorraine.

Hello. My name is Suzanne Thomson, my husband is Peter. I was looking for information about Robert Bassett and Mary Deaves and came to your website. Unfortunately, you have missed one of their children, Sarah. Sarah married Michael Fitzgerald and they had a daughter Clarice Fitzgerald, who in turn, married Arthur Thomson and one of their children was Bernard Thomson, my husband's father, who is now deceased. Perhaps you have more information, which would be helpful. Thank-you. Suzanne
