These are some of my favorite sites that I have come across through the years. If you are looking for a way to keep yourself occupied on the Internet, then this page should help you out (for a while, at least). The sites fall under the following categories:
Disney |
Fun & Funky |
Graphics & Software |
Music & Movies |
Star Wars
You also might
want to visit my Mermaids page for
images and links about mermaids,
or my Friends page for links to the amazing array of sites by my friends and acquaintances.

Disney

Fun and Funky Sites
Eskimo Bob |
This site features a series of hilarious flash animations. My favorite episodes are #2 "We found a stick!" and #13 "The Wrath of the Penguin." |
LEGO Worlds |
The official Lego site. Legos were one of my favorite childhood toys, and remain a favorite collectible now. This site is pretty cool: you can view all the latest sets available, including the special edition Star Wars Trilogy and Episode I sets. The site has neat graphics and fun interactive features. |
Muffin Films |
These are simple but oh so amusing. |
Strong Bad Email |
Watch the witty Strong Bad answer the emails of the stupid people who write him. "Dragon," "Butt IQ," and "Action Figure" are three of my favorites. And of course as an English student and teacher, I have to appreciate "English paper." Back at the main site there are games and other attractions. |
Tickle |
Lots of fun quizzes. |
The T.W.I.N.K.I.E.S. Project |
A hilarious page where Twinkies are put to the test through "scientific" procedures: just how dense is a Twinkie anyway? What happens when it's submerged in water or dropped off a ten-story building? "T.W.I.N.K.I.E.S. is a series of experiments conducted during finals week, 1995, at Rice University. The tests were designed to determine the properties of that incredible food, the Twinkie." |
Urban Legends Reference Pages |
This is a great collection of pages. They list many commonly accepted rumors or legends and then examine their status. Some are verified, some aren't. Is there a basketball court inside of the Matterhorn mountain in Disneyland? Are green M&M's really aphrodisiacs? Well, you can find out many facts such as these at the above site, whose categories include College, Disney, Movie, Music, Lost, Horror, Sex Legends, and more. |

Graphics and Software
A Beginner's Guide to HTML |
I first learned how to write web pages from this site. It explains the fundamentals of web pages, gives definitions of all basic terms, and then explains and demonstrates the basic HTML tags. There are links to sites where you can learn more advanced stuff. It's pretty easy: go ahead, try it! |
Mulder's Stylesheet Tutorial |
A good site for learning the basics of stylesheets. |
SGI Serious Fun |
This page sounded like it had the potential to be a good source of images, but I haven't really looked at it yet. It has Freeware, an Image Gallery, Movie and Animation Gallery, and Java Gallery. |
The Software Toolbox |
Lots of resources for making GIF animations. |
TUCOWS |
Formerly, "The Ultimate Collection of Winsock Software," this site now offers software for all platforms as well as domain registration and hosting services. With ratings and descriptions. |

Music and Movies
Coming Attractions (now Development Heck) |
Voluminous information (facts and rumors) about films under production, in development, or just plain fantasized about. Can be addictive to the movie fanatic. |
Internet Movie Database |
Head here first if you are looking for any info on movies, tv shows, actors, actresses, etc. |
The Movie Sounds Page |
Here you can find lines from most famous, classic, or otherwise popular movies. It probably has your favorite. The layout is not so pleasing as it used to be, but the content is definitely there and they are adding more and more movies. his page also has a Mystery Sounds Page where you can play a wav, try and guess where it's from, and then click a button to reveal the answer. It's fun. |
The Movie Times |
A comprehensive site with info about current movies, box office stats, actor and actress pages, and much more. I recommend the pages about the top 100 box-office hits ever. It's interesting to see who's on top when the figures are adjusted for inflation. Also, has charts comparing the performance of Episode I: Phantom Menace with that darn Titantic. |
SoundAmerica |
This page has an awesome collection of sound samples, both midi's and wav's, from movies, t.v., classic music, and more. It rivals my old favorite WWW TV Bytes (which went off line due to copyright problems) in selection and quailty. |

Star Wars
Star Wars Official Site |
Info and background about all four films, and sure to have teasers as Episode II approaches. |
The Force.net |
An excellent site with a variety of facts, news, and message boards about all Star Wars paraphenalia. The latest info about the prequels currently in production. |
Star Wars Legos |
These are so cool. One day, when I'm rich, I'm going to collect them all. |
