I went to Canada twice. Once in September to do the north
western cities and in November to do Toronto and Ottowa. When I say 'do,' I mean
visit customers. Unfortunately this did not give a lot of opportunity for doing
touristy things, but here are some photos of what I did see
I went to Yellowknife. It has a latitude of 62 degrees which puts it just outside
the arctic circle. This is Great Slave Lake. The worlds 9th largest fresh
water lake. They have houseboats which are permanently moored here, even when the
lake freezes over. People live in them all year round.
Raggety Ass Road. One of the more interesting houses.
Niagara Falls. About 1 1/2 hours drive from Toronto.
More falls. The spray from the falls provides a permanent rainbow
Looking back towards the town of Niagara. Note the double rainbow. Buggered if
I know why there are 2.
Me and my work colleague. We visited the falls just after a customer call which
explains the extremely appropriate suit & tie.
November is cool. Not cold, but cool. Cool enough to leave lots of ice hanging
around
Behind the falls, they have these viewing portals. With the wind blowing the way it
was, it made it nice and wet in there.
What happens as the spray settles on the local flora. Poor tree.,
