Middleton Grange Primary School
Library Under Water!
Noah's Ark sighted in Library reading pit!
Flooded Library
Repairs begin on the library. Workmen
removing the ceiling and insulation.
Some of you may have noticed that the primary library has builders in it once more! Unfortunately an internal pipe burst and sent cascades of water into the library during the holidays. We lost about 250 books and a significant amount of ceiling lining, insulation etc. is being replaced.
Hopefully the library will be functioning again in three weeks or so thanks to hard work from Jan Kennedy (our teacher librarian) and our primary school librarian Michelle Woollands. Please keep your child's books at home for now!!!

Dear Parents,

You may have noticed some changes around the primary school as you have come into the school. We have moved Mrs Daly's little room and it now sits next to Room A by the Year 3-6 Adventure Playground. The area where Mrs Daly's room used to be is now a volley wall and asphalt area for play.

We have also removed a large tree from the junior playground to enlarge the play area and bring more sun into this part of the playground. A number of shrubs have also been trimmed or removed.

We are very aware that the school environment is blessed with many fine trees etc. but we are also aware that first and foremost this is a school. Hence our need to maximise the utilisation of the playground and use our resources wisely. The school does have limited space so we are always thinking of better and creative ways to use it!

John Stackhouse.
