Teacher: Mrs Bucknell   Class Level: Year 3

Recently our class were taken on the bus to Ferrymead Heritage Park. The children dressed in period costume and undertook activities  children 100 years ago would have experienced.

The boys learnt to allow the girls into the classroom first at Miss Black's schoolhouse.

The children attended Mrs Black's school, undertook washing and housekeeping chores at the policeman's house, attended the movies (where they watched silent movies in the Arcadia Theatre) and baked biscuits at the bakery.

We enjoyed our time at Ferrymead. We found children had to work much
 harder than we do today.
