Mrs. Emmerson Lacy and daughter Mary Ann and Miss Evalyn Young of Glen Ellyn have returned home after a few days vist with Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Young and family, Gertrude young accompanied them home for a visit.
Among those who attended the funeral of John Riley Davis at the Methodist Episcopel church wednesday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Traver Davis and children, Edward, Frederick and Bonnie, and Mrs Anna Medley of Mattoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Davis and daughter Marion of Alma, Illinois. Mrs. Pearl
Rich of Champign IL. Mr. and Mrs. William Hosey, Mrs. Mary Hosey, Will Davis and son, ( Eddie of Dekalb IL.) Mr. and Mrs. Everett Davis of Taylorville IL. Turley Burgess and daughter Madge of Lerna IL. and Albert Stewart of Arcola.

Ralph Davis of Alma IL. and Traver Davis spent Sunday ( 07/08/1933) with Mrs. John R. Davis at their home in Humbolt IL.

John Riley Davis Purchased land in Milton IL. 10/19/1897 Block 7 Lots 4&5 for $60.00 ( Purchased from Waumplers second addition) Now known as Humbolt IL. Subject to tax 1899. (revenue stamp .50cents) John built his home in 1898 to 1900 with just one hand. The home at 713 Church Street Humbolt IL. still stands as of 2000. The home was sold in 1956 to The Mitchell's where Mrs. Mitchell is still living in the home as of 01/30/2000. 1
