There are many parks in Chengdu, most of which I have not gone into. All, but one, you have to pay a nominal fee to get in. One park is the peoples park, it has a ride in an converted air raid shelter. the lonely planet says it is one of strangest experiences in Chengdu. In one park there was a tea house that had a performance. Finally we went to Wang Tombs, not really a park but did not fit in the Temple category either.
