3-19-00 oh, he's such a sweetie. :) Robert brought me home flowers last night. pink tulips, 6 of them. They're so pretty! and I was so surprised! He hasn't brought me flowers in like......i can't even think, maybe 4 years or something. It's not that he doesnt' want to do things like that, it's just that he doesnt' think of them. He's more the kind that will take me out to dinner and play with me. He definatly caught me off guard last night! And I'm thrilled about it! They're in the kitchen window today, partially bloomed.
He got to feel Bit yesterday morning. He had his head laying on my belly before going to work and stayed there for a long time trying to wake her up. ^_^ finally I felt her brush against his temple. That's all she did, except after he left she thumped over once, like she was going back to sleep. LOL! I wasnt' for sure if he'd gotten to feel it, but he said he did. He just loves rubbing on my belly and getting Baby to move. He tickles me.
He actually asked me this morning if this would be our last. (!) I think he's like me, it's sad thinking of this as our last one. I told him he said the other week he wasnt' going for #4, and he laughed. I'm not having any surgery done though. No tieing tubes for me. I feel I'm to young to take that away from myself. I've talked to so many women who have so much trouble just being able to concieve one child, I can't see disrupting this gift God has given me. I plan on going back on the pill after some time. If my body works like it normally does, my Luteal Phase will go back to being short for almost a year anyway, plus with the nursing, I shouldn't have anything to worry about. I want to nurse as long as I can without going on the pill.
Speaking of baby stuff (like i dont ever do that) I just had to open one of my newborn packs of diapers this morning. ^_^ Couldn't resist seeing one of those little bottom huggers that will be on our baby in a few months. I thought I could hold out longer, but I guess that since today starts my 5th month, I had to do it. 4 months to go! wow! It's going by very fast. Me and Robert agree. I poked through some of the baby's clothes today too. I went through a box that a friend, Helen, sent me about a month ago. It has some of the little newborn caps and this adorable little bunny set with a hat! She was so sweet to send those. I hope to do something just as nice when she gets pg again.
I'm deciding on how to rearrange Katlyn's room too. Making room for the crib and all. I'm not even going to set that up soon! :) I did that with Canaan, I dont remember when I set it up with Katlyn, but i think it was around 7 months. I'll try and hold out longer for this one (we'll see how that bet goes). First I have to see if i can still borrow my friend Lisa's cradle for the first few months. She told me I could, but that was a while ago and I need to ask again. If I cant', I'll need to find something to keep baby in by the bed. I had a bassinette with Katlyn that my friend Michelle gave me, but I sold it before we moved, to another friend who was expecting. We didnt' have the room really to keep all that stuff (got rid of a lot of baby clothes, an extra carseat, etc) so had to make a decision. oh well. hindsite they say.
oh, I added a picture of me at 4 months pg on the previous page, just in case anyone is interested in seeing how big my bellly is now. :)
3-20-00 Yippee! I got my "new" breastpump today! i've already sterilized it and put it together and taken it apart and gone thorugh everything. Only 4 months and I'll get to use my new toy! ^_^
This is also Lisa's birthday! Happy birthday again Lisa! She's 3 years older than me and a great mommy to her 3 kids. We grew up like sisters. :)
Baby has been active today. She's getting big enough to make it so easy to feel her booting around in there, and i love it! I listened to her again with the Bebe sounds listener again this morning. It's getting easy to tell her h/b now. though i dont think she really liked me prodding into her territory. She'd swim away and bop the listener when she'd get to wondering what it was that was pushing on her. J It's just amazing when I think of the little person in there growing and thriving. What a miracle. Speaking of miracles, it's a miracle i haven't passed out. I need to go eat......again!
3-23-00 The baby has been so active today! For like an hour this afternoon she was in there bebopping around like she was chasing after her cord or something and even now she's whooshing all over the place! It's really great, and I love it. She's not to the point where i'm grunting at her foot in my rib or something, so now it's just fun!
Found out another of my internet friends from TTCbaby is pg now! Helen lost a set of twins last year in June, and is now finally pg again and it looks like it's twins again! She's very nervous of course but is hoping for the best (as am I and all her friends) They had just gone in for fertility treatments and found out the problem taking so long was to do with her husband's mobility (not him, but his little buddies. ;) he drives a truck and was basically killing 99% of them, but hey! that 1% made it there twice now and with twins even! Needless to say he's proud of himself. :) I'm so glad she's going to be joining us at 1happybaby. She's got alot of experience and is so fun to talk to. congratulations helen!
3-25-00 I"m feeling so emotional today! Robert had to work out of town all last week, plus this week and had to work today, all day! i'm feeling so lonely. :( i want to be around people, adult people. me and the kids have hung around each other all week (except when mom took canaan for a night) and we havent' had any money to go do anything til today, so we've been climbing the walls. We finally go out to day for the food shopping and they drive me nuts!
I rearranged the living room today too. of course if my mom hears of this she'll jump all over me. i moved the couch around so it's facing the other way. why fuss over a couch you say? well, it's a sleeper sofa sectional with 2 recliners on one end. it's in 3 pieces, but still heavy. but it's not like i was picking it up and moving it, only pushing it all over the place. the bad thing is it doesnt' work like it is now, so robert will have to help me move it back *sigh*
i guess i'm just being a cry baby today. i havnet' been this emotional in a long time. i'll be glad when it's done.
3-29-00 Had a wonderful thing to happen today. I felt the baby pushing out at my side . :) yep. at first i thought it was just a braxton hick hitting me, but as i rubbed my tummy i felt this little 'lump' along the left and right sides. it was the baby! when the BH ended, she moved on about her business (of pummeling my bladder). I love it when I can start discerning a foot from a head and all that. Such a wonderful thing to experience!
Me and the kids have been stuck inside today. The temp was back in the 40's (ick!) and it was drizzling off and on all day, so we were up to racing around the house, picking on each other, dragging toys from one end to the next, picking up toys from one end to the next, and constantly getting requests for 'juice' and 'something to eat'. It's always long days when they can't get out and spend some energy, but they are usually ready for bed no matter what. They fell asleep on the couch tonight before thier cartoons went off. Serves them right for getting up at 6 this morning. LOL! It seems they're getting up earlier and earlier these days. Is it some sort of mental code thing that is preparing me for when baby gets here? ........ nah, i think they do it on purpose. :) The worst part is, if one wakes up, they wake the other....on purpose! "sissy get up, sun's up!" Then i hear them pitter pattering their way into our room. I do keep a pallet laid out on the floor next to our bed just for such purposes though. They're just getting way to big and to frollicky to keep in bed with us anymore. :) Katlyn is the worst. She can't lay still for anything. She's always poking or prodding into something on the headboard, bouncing on the bed (waterbed) or chasing the cat that happens to be unfortunate enough to be sleeping by me. Canaan on the other hand will just plop down on the floor and knock back out.....unless he's ready to start his day, then i hear them both doing a stage whisper "sissy! be quiet! mommy's sleeping!" "bubba! come here! I gotta pee pee!" It's quite funny when I think of it now, but at 6 in the morning , my clock isnt' even awake yet.
It's getting closer and closer to the big ultrasound day! April 7th is just around the corner! i'll post pictures when i get them and also when i get the recent pics developed of me and my belly, i'll start a page that has all them together, plus have them on my journal, so that everyone can enjoy the growing babe as it makes my belly go farther and farther past my bust line! ^_^ (like it hasnt' already done that!) I am wondering how much weight I've put on. I can't go by my scales. They say I still weigh the same! Surely that's not right. I had a dream the other night that the dr. told me i was measuring small for the baby's gestational age. That was certainly a fantasy since from where i feel my uterus coming up to, I'm waaaaaay ahead!!! (no comments on twins please, i've already heard them all! :)
