Going
home......
Well, times are
flying, we've been here 5 days already, today is the last day in Sibu Island. We woke
up slightly late this morning, just to pamper ourself
in the bed. We scheduled to leave the island by
2:30pm ferry. At least we have the whole morning here
to lazing around before going back to the fast
pace city life.
|
During the breakfast we smuggled a piece of bread from the basket
to feed the deer. They live freely at the field, and are taking
care by the resort's staff. This animal is friendly
and easy to approach, not like those living in the
wild nature.
Without much time remaining, we've to pack
up our luggages and check out the resort. For one
last time we spent a short while at the balcony
enjoying the beautiful scenery of the garden and the
sea that
the room offered. Very much unwillingly, we walked
out the room and headed to the cashier to settle
the bill.

The duet was singing at the
jetty and sending the guests off the ferry.
A bit heavy-hearted to leave this place, but the
ferry still sailed away. Watching the island got
behind us, getting smaller and smaller, finally
disappered from our vision.

- If you feel unsafe to
trek the jungle by yourself, you can hire a
guide from the activities counter. A fee of
RM 5 is imposed.
- Remember to check out
the marine life in the adjacent beaches especially
during low tide. You will discover some spectacular
marine creatures.
- Make an
excursion to Sibu Besar Island to absorb the
picturesque view of the serene kampung Duku, home to about 200 villagers. Witness
the time-tested method on making copra or the handicraft-making from coconut
waste.
