We Are A Livable City

All successful programs for Health, Nutrition and Sanitation tested and implemented by Tuguegarao City were further improved by the City Government, this time with stronger partnerships with schools, businesses, churches and barangays.

Now, even the most fastidious acknowledge that Tuguegarao City is cleaner than it ever did in the past. Barangays, schools and NGOs continue to make conscious efforts to make Tuguegarao City clean and green. Billboards for "Tuguegarao City, Tapat ko, Linis ko", "Let's keep Tuguegarao City Clean and Green" and garbage collection schedules are placed at strategic places to teach the residents and visitors to make the city clean. Schools have particularly institutionalized Clean and Green practices.

In 2002, Tuguegarao City retained its title as the Regional Green Banner Awardee in Nutrition and Regional Awardee for Healthy Places.

Peaceful, Safe and Orderly

The first law of expansion is ORDER. It is therefore essential that confusion, discord and clutter are eliminated. Then, the necessary elements of growth can germinate.

The Tuguegarao City Government worked with schools, businesses, churches, barangays, agencies and NGOs to bring about beauty and order in the city.

Several working relationships and innovations were set in place in 2002 to make Tuguegarao City truly peaceful, safe and orderly. Studies, trainings, IEC campaigns and joint projects were carried out in 2002. Peace and order is one of the necessary success factors of the Tuguegarao CDS.
