James was Embraced in Charlotte, NC. His sire was a Diabolist, and he killed Matteus, the former Prince of Nashville. James led a troupe of Kindred to Louisville, KY in 1996 to search for his sire. They followed him through a portal that took them to Egypt. There they punished James' sire for his crimes.
James has published several suspense novels, and he gives lectures at local colleges and bookstores. He is a peaceful being by nature and avoids firefights, but with the company he keeps, that's never easy.
Dom was a highly-touted college wrestler before his Embrace in 1997. He attended Vanderbilt University where he maintains many friendships. His natural parents moved to Tennessee from Spain, so Dom has a natural tan despite his undead condition. He has an intense hatred for the University of Tennessee, his top college rival, and he has trouble maintaining control around fans sporting UT colors.
Dom is a helluva fighter, and he has a lot of athletic ability. Remember, he attended college at "the Harvard of the South," so Dom is a very smart person, too. He was a pre-med major before his Embrace, and he occasionally signs up for night classes in hope of finishing his degree.
Vince "Nightmare" Black fought in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Special Forces. He retired from the Army as an E-7, Sergeant First Class. He was an expert pistol marksman, and he used those skills in his new line of work as a mercenary. Vince was often hired to kill people, particularly in Europe and Asia. He has amazing hand-to-hand skills in the area of Taekwondo.
Vince is a very large Native American. He lived much of his life in Louisiana, where he was affiliated with the Shawnee tribe. Vince dresses all in black, and he keeps his black hair past his shoulders.
