American Academy of Pain Medicine - The American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) is an organization that provides for quality care to patients suffering with pain, through the education and training of all physicians, through research, and through the advancement of the specialty of pain medicine.

American Pain Society - The American Pain Society (APS) is a multidisciplinary organization of basic and clinical scientists, practicing clinicians, policy analysts, and others working to advance pain-related research, education, treatment and professional practice.

International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) - An international, multidisciplinary, non-profit professional association dedicated to furthering research on pain and improving the care of patients with pain. Membership in IASP is open to scientists, physicians, dentists, psychologists, nurses, physical therapists, and other health professionals actively engaged in pain research and to those who have special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pain. Currently IASP has 5600 individual members from 83 countries. They are a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) affiliate of the World Health Organization (WHO).
