So, on a revisit, me and HonestRabbit, had a huge stroke of luck. We managed to get in to one of the Shops, and up one of the block, and saw over a dozen flats (probably more like 16). Along the way we discovered 'extreme death' - a room of pigeons dying in the oddest poses; a workman's boots unexplainably sat tidily on the stairs; garish wallpaper; an agoraphobic butterfly and some stylish light fixtures.  We also got to the roof, where we had a wonderful view of the city centre.

The shop sold sandwiches. It seemed like a nice cheap and cheerful place. It was called 'The Lunchbox'.

A price list in the back - such cheap sandwiches!

By the time you reached the 9th floor, you wish you'd taken the lift.

You could tell what tastes people had, and possibly how old they were depending on the decoration.

Where shutters were in place, it gave a real prison feeling.

The flats on this floor had polythene on the doors, like CSI I imagine.

We felt bad for disturbing this little butterfly but it was so beautiful. I like the way it blends in with the wallpaper, and the fact it's on flower wallpaper. Very 'Silence of the Lambs'.

Only certain clues remained of people's lifestyles - namely decor.

I imagine an elderly lady or an elderly couple to have lived here as nothing had been updated for many, many decades.

There were plenty of irresistible corridor shots to be had.

I just had to do it!
