The Park - Linderhof's grounds contained a plethora of small buildings, many of which were based on Wagner's operas. Ludwig could stay in the Venusberg from Tannhäuser, the Hunding's Hut from Die Walküre, or Gurnamantz's Hermitage from Parsifal. The Venusberg is the only 'Wagner' folly to remain standing. Also in the Park is the original Hunting Lodge built for King Max and the St. Anna Chapel, built around 1780 in the Alpine Rococo style. The Moorish Kiosk ranks equal to the Venusberg as the major pavilions within the Park. Another exotic structure was the Moroccan House. The Hubertus Pavilion was last building to be constructed, but was never completed.
