Willowbee

~*~mY fAeRie PaGe~*~

I'm Willowbee. I was 5 weeks old (hatched 11-3-99) when they brought me home. Biscuit's Mom helped my Mom name me. Isn't it a pretty name? I'm a female Lucida parrotlet which means I will eventually get a blue eyestreak. Mom says she can see it already but its very faint. And I will get blue in my wings and on my rump. Mom can see that rump color already too but she says by the time I'm a year old it will be very visible. She says I have to go thru a couple "molts" first and that it gets more blue each time.

One day I hope I will get to go live with Pippy. My cage is right next to his and I really like Pippy. We hang from the top of our cages upside down and look at each other alot. I think that means he likes me. But I'm too little to go live with him yet.

I love to eat veggies! Mom says I'm the best eater of the parrotlets cause I eat all my veggies. But you know what I really, really like? Fresh strawberries. They are the best. Sometimes I like to play with my food cup. I can unhook it from my cage bars and its fun to watch it crash to the bottom. Then Mom has to come fix it and I do it all over again. Its a great game.

I have a toy with a bell on the bottom. I play with this toy all the time and Mom says it always sounds like Christmas around here because of the soft tinkling of the bell. She said alot of angels must be getting their wings cause of me. Sometimes I like to play under my newspapers in the bottom of my cage. I crawl under them and make funny noises --I'm making wishes.

Jilly is teaching me alot of things. Like how to get around Peanut and fool him because he's always telling me fibs. She's also reading me faerie stories which I LOVE. I believe in faeries. They have wings just like me and can fly like I can so why shouldn't I believe in them? I heard alot of humans don't believe in faeries. They would if they could see faeries and talk to them like all of us birds can. They aren't very differant from us really. Faeries help make the plants grow and they live in nature. I can't wait for spring when we plant a fairy garden outside. We're gonna hang birdfeeders and leave a area wild (unplanted) for the faeries to visit. They like that. Do you like the faeries on my page? I adopted them from WonderFlight. You can adopt some too by looking at the bottom of my page and clicking on the WonderFlight banner. You can visit even more of my adopted faeries and maybe go adopt some yourself. Some of my gifts and special faerie clubs are listed there too.

In the photo of me with my bear and Piglet, I'm also standing next to my magic Fairy Box. It came in blurry tho so we got a better pic of it for you to see. Isn't it beautiful? Mom gave me it to me and said I could put all my treasures inside it. I am gonna keep pretty flower heads in there and some shiny things cause fairies love shiny things.
