Is there a Registry?

We have put together a list of things that we still could use... Feel free to pick one of the items below if you want to help us start filling our apartment with stuff. Through many national and international moves we have become quite selective about what to keep and what to give away - utility matters. The selection below reflects this quite well...

There is one "big" item and several smaller items on the list. If you prefer to give something specific, pick a smaller item. Otherwise we would appreciate a contribution to our "big" item.

1. The "Big" Item

Our living room already has great turn-of-the-century furniture, courtesy of our parents and grandparents. What we need now is an ultra-modern sofa, to remind ourselves and our visitors that we do indeed live in the twenty-first century. We have not had the time to choose one in particular, therefore we propose to you to contribute an amount of your choice.

2. Kitchen Items

Yes, we would love to have a set of dishes. Unfortunately the ones we liked don't hold up to Peter's impact testing. So we are still looking for a good set of whitewares...

taken Bodum, white cheese dish with plastic cover model 4814-10 $20.00
2.2 Wine cooler, double walled, plastic
2.3 Stainless steel saucepan with aluminum core, Revere (US, 2 quart) or Migros (Switzerland, 1 L)
2.4 Stainless steel saucepan with aluminum core, Revere (US, 3 quart) or Migros (Switzerland, 1.5 L)

3. Household Items

taken standing lamp
taken table lamp
taken reading lamp
3.4 Migros, "Sana" Duvet, treated against dust mites, 160x200cm   500.-

4. Appliances

taken food scale, taken
taken Braun Multiquick Advantage MR 4050 HC staff mixer (please make sure you get the model with the Swiss electrical plug)
4.3 Braun Citromatic MPZ22 or MPZ6 juicer (please make sure you get the model with the Swiss electrical plug)
4.4 Bosch cordless drill (please make sure you get the model with the Swiss electrical plug)

5. Linens

For US residents. A short registry with www.potterybarn.com.  They do not ship internationally. This would mean that you would either have to take it with you or mail it yourself.

6. Outdoorsy Items

taken full length Therma-Rest
6.2 0 Fahrenheit sleeping bag with hood for Trish

7. Miscellaneous Items

7.1 English Travel Scrabble
7.2 Cranium Game
taken Cookbook
taken Spice jars, glass with metal screw-off lid, Interio or EPA

8. Gift Certificates

8.1 Mobility car share gift certificate - A gift certificate for a trip on our virtual car. Web site in German only. Select "Was bieten wir an?" -> "Mobility Gutschein". Our membership number is 170168.
taken Migros gift certificate. You can get this at every Migros store in Switzerland. There is also a Migros in Thun so it would be feasible to purchase one on the wedding weekend.

9. Donations

While getting presents for our wedding is great, there are other things that are even more important. Instead of a present, please donate in our name to one of the following organizations: Doctors without Borders, the International Red Cross, or Novib, a Dutch aid agency.
