sHOw Elects Officers for the Next Year
Members or The sHOw
MODULAR MODEL RAILROAD CLUB elected officers for 1995-1996 at the April
meeting. The new president is John Welther. John was born
in Ohio and moved to California in 1970. John and his wife Vicky relocated to
Kentucky a year ago. He began to take model railroading seriously about
1973. His great-grandfather was a real railroad man and
John's father and grandfather worked for the railroad when
he was a child. Naturally, he received a Lionel trainset for
Christmas when he was four years old. John was also interested in art and worked
in the printing business eventually working for Microsoft in California. John
is self-employed now operating J & V Enterprises creating
model railroading supplies. His favorite prototype is the
Santa Fe. John and Vicky have begun a home layout and
members are invited to help. He enjoys the friendships he
has made in the hobby-profession and the
general support of the club. John enjoys photography and
|
railfanning and dogs as well.
Vice-president is David Boyd. Secretary-treasurer is
Rumsie Butler. Paul Schnoes was elected as events
coordinator. Former president Mike Dowell will replace
John Welther on the board. Congratulations!
sHOw Visits
Members' Layouts & Work to Begin on Two Home Layouts
In March the sHOw Club
visited the home layout of members Paul Schboes. This
was quite a treat to see such a fine multi-level layout
created with such care and skill. Many thanks to Mr.
and Mrs. Schnoes for hosting this event. In April the third Thursday
group met at John and Vicky Welther's to begin work on
their home layout. On Thursday, May 18, at 7:00 P.M. the club is invited
to help John Oakes begin construction of
a home layout. Bring any tools you like to work with.
