Park City Train EXPO August 31st The sHOw Modular Model Railroad will be featured at the 1996 Park City, Kentucky Labor Day Festival from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Square Deal Lumber Company. A form reserving space for your module and a committment form to help with the EXPO is attached. HOBBY CROSSSING CLOSING After almost three years the Hobby Crossing will be closing business on August 10th, 1996. HO engines and supplies are on sale for 25% off. MINUTESThe sHOw Modular Model Railroad Club met July 6 at Hobby Crossing, President David Boyd presiding. Treasury had $223.00 minus $114.00 for an Aristocraft remote throttle left $109.00. The Park City EXPO needs a count on modules for space allotment. It was voted to purchase two power packs for the club. Rumsie Butler will continue to research construction of power packs for backup. Standards will be updated at the Thursday night meeting scheduled each Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. at Butler Motors on College Street. We will set up corners and a number of modules so we can run trains in the spare room there. On August 3, we will paint the backboards as required for the EXPOs: semi-gloss black. John Oakes will get the paint. Bring your brushes/rollers and your backboards. On August 16th at Butler Motors we will inspect |
modules. Any modules not meeting club standars will not be in the EXPOs. sHOw T-shirts should be here by the next EXPO. Some extras were ordered so check if want one. No small layout will be built since Hobby Crossing is closing.
