Years in Litmag:1

What are your roles?
I was never sure of my actual title...I was more like an artistic advisor. Amanda B. ('05), Bridgette K. ('05), John Young ('04), and I worked on placing submitted art work with the literary piece that it fit best with. Those pieces that we felt needed art to go a long with it, we divided up and each of us designed a few. I also helped organize the format once all the works were chosen (and I helped choose a few too). For instance, we had a few pieces submitted that were in other languages, but since most people at PW couldn't speak French, they would become bored with the lit mag and not read it...We just decided to space them out through the whole piece. We had to mix a lot of things up, that way we didn't have 3 pages of submitions that were upbeat and happy followed by 6 pages of depressing pieces.

Why did you join/write for the literary magazine?
All the cool kids were doing it:). We had a little group that hung out after school, and some of the people in that were interested in litmag so I just kinda showed up one day b/c they were all there.

How do you feel you had an affect, if any, on the magazine?
I don't really think I affected the mag. much at all, anyone could have done what I did.

How many of your pieces were put into the literary magazine so far
Art pieces? I think 3 or 4...no lit ones...I was lucky I got my papers for class written!

What are your future goals? How do you think the literary magazine will have a place within accomplishing those goals?
Actually, I do want to work on writing a book to aid teen-girls but that doesn't really have to do with Litmag...Litmag got me thinking about thinking to write...if that makes sense:).

Closing comments?
Litmag was a great way to be involved, even if I didn't do that much in it. I got to hang out with people that I wouldn't normally have had the oportunity to spend time with.
