This vast country is completely covered by mountains, and is thus devoid of any infrustructure. The country's four major populations each 'control' their own area:

• Red Dragons -- live in the huge mountains around the Phoenix's Egg (the gigantic volcano where the Phoenix is rumored to actually live)
   

• Fire Giants -- tend to keep to their mountaintop castles surrounded by the southwestern volcanos, but sometimes wish to trade their prized adamantine with the Rakshasas of Viswanathan, whom they loathe (this animosity is mostly caused by the fact that a single Rakshasa is far more powerful than a single Fire Giant, despite their significantly smaller size)
   

• Ursags -- large, purple bear-like people who pushed their way northeast into Zlaghinovan territory around 50 years ago (see Zlaghinova for more info on this)
   

• Kobolds -- inhabiting underground caverns in the eastern mountains and occasionally trading the rare minerals they mine with the Selentines via Lothar's Outpost; the other races of Murduk have all had Kobold slave populations in their service for ages
