Producers Screening
These are the best screenings. The theater plays a partially completed movie. The Producers Screening allow movie executives to gauge audience reaction early in the film's production.
Critics Screening
Critics come to see the movie so that they can rate the film before its released. Other people may also receive invitations.
Word of Mouth Screening
These screenings are used to generate anticipation by letting a limited number of people watch the movie before its widely released. Word of mouth screenings are usually tied in with radio promotions, credit card incentives, and certain organizations such as universities.
Employee Screening
Theater employees get the opportunity to preview certain new films. Depending on management, some will also allow family members or friends to attend.
Sneak Preview
Sneak previews are open to anyone who's willing to pay admission. These play before their scheduled release date. Its virtually the same as paying for any other movie. You just get to see it early.
