1. BELIEVE GOD
Even Satan believes, but he is in rebellion against God.
Believe what God says about Himself and about you.
Jesus Christ is alive. He is Lord and God.
All have sinned. He paid our penalty with His death.
It is God who calls and without that call no one can believe.
Then when the call is received, the appropriate response is needed.
2. REPENT, ALL ARE SINNERS
All our righteousness, goodness, good works are like filthy bloody
rags.
Nothing we can do can make us right. He did it all.
Our hearts are evil and full of iniquity. It utterly deceives us.
All we do is out of evil motives. To get reward of some kind.
Only God can reveal the evil intents of our hearts and to enable usto
repent and then He can renew and give us a new clean heart. This processthat
begins upon our initial conversion and is not complete until we receiveour
new body when Jesus comes again.
3. SURRENDER TO JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD GOD AND SAVIOR
Without Him there is no salvation. He is the only way to eternal
life and righteousness.
4. RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST WITH SPEAKING IN TONGUES
Holy Ghost in filling and baptism is not optional. It
is needed for living the Christian life in this world to battle the forces
of evil and for cleansing of the iniquity in our hearts.
Tongues also is not optional. It is the sign God has given to confirm
that we have received the promise of the Holy Spirit and He has began his
workin us. There are two type of tongues that are given to us.
The first is a prayer language used to pray and glorify God when we don't
know how to pray. It is the Holy Spirit praying through us. This
is used in our personal devotions and is normally private, just He and me.
The second type of tongues is used in the church for prophecy and
should have interpretation along with it. Of course these gifts are
often misused and imitated by the enemy, since he does not like these gifts
at all. It is said that he can not understand what we pray, but God does.
It reveals to God what is in our heart. It turns out that this
gift which seems to be so unimportant and controversial is the most important.
If you have not yet spoken in tongues, don't give up. Continue to believe,
repent, and yield to God and He will send it in a short time.
5. BEWARE OF THE CONCISION.
The concision is the flesh that
was cutoff and thrown away when we were converted. It takes
the form of the religious system. It isthosewho tell
you when you are first converted to Jesus that now you needto join some group.
The truth is that when you surrendered to Jesus Christ you joined
the true church and body of Christ and joining anyother would be saying that
His church was not good enough.
As the end of time draws closer, God will allow judgement come upon these
false systems. Already this can be clearly seen, but those who are part of
it are blind to this.
