t210-3 Orange Borders

There are a lot of printing anomalies/errors in the prewar card hobby, however I feel this particular goof is one of the neatest. As you know, t210s are typically found with "fire-engine-red" borders. Due to a missed color pass in the original print run, a few sheets of t210s were printed with orange borders instead of red. The cool part is that this difference is not subtle by any means - the borders on these cards, such as the four shown below, are a bright neon-orange color! For the most part, these printing mishaps were limited to the 3rd t210 series however others with darker shades of orange may exist in other sets. We know that this variation occurred on multiple sheets of t210s as the majority of the 3rd series has been found with this variation and many players have more than one example.

Here are a few of my favorites, hopefully the bright orange borders show up well on your screen.
