8/07/02 - KH, MM, GGXX, and more
Square is planning on auctioning off 25 copies of it's new PS2 game, Kingdom Hearts, on e-bay a week before it's Sept. 17th release date.

5 pairs of tickets to Square's August 28th KH launch party and a full-color KH print autographed by director and character designer, Tetsuya Nomura, will also be put up for auction from August 8th to the 15th at disneyauctions.com

The Gamecube remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemisis have both recieved release dates. RE2 is due 10/09/02 with RE3 following on 12/02/02. A new character has been announced for Resident Evil Zero, Capcom's Gamecube exclusive. All that's known at this time is that the character is a young female. More details as they arrive.

In more Capcom news, Famitsu has reported that a new Mega Man game is in the works for the Gamecube. It's unknown at this time which iteration of MM it will be based on.

Sammy and Arc System Works' fighter Guilty Gear XX has been annoucned for the Playstation 2. It's the sequal to Guilty Gear X, but features little in the way of innovation, featuring only a few new characters/stages and updated graphics. A US release has yet to be announced.

Nintendo has suppiled 100 million yen to a new development company which features Manabu Yamana, a lead progammer on Dragon Warrior VII. Members of the team responsible for Nintendo's Mother series are also on board. Once a full staff is aquired, they plan to begin developement on both GC and GBA games.

8/07/02 - State of the Skies
Some internet media have reported Sega may censor the GC version of Skies of Arcadia. It should be noted, however, that the Dreamcast original was altered before its US release. In an effort to make the game more 'kid-friendly,' some of the more controversial aspects were changed or removed. Whether or not further changes will be made to the GC port remains to be seen.
