One of my favourite animals is the beaver. The reason I like them the most for is the beautiful dams they create. This fine art is unbuildable by anyone else. This is one hard working animal and should be respected by all. Even if beavers mostly live in water, they are also able of traveling on land, and do so regularly to reach nearby trees. Despite their large front teeth, these animals are herbivores. This means they eat plants only. They mostly eat the bark of certain hardwoods such as poplar, aspen, birch, cherry, willow, maple and alder.
The length of the head to the body is 22 to 27 inches for an adult beaver , the length of the tail is 12 to 16 inches and there weight is 30 to 68 lbs. The beaver is the largest rodent in North America and second largest to the capybara in the american continents. Their young are threatened by bears, wolves, and fishers. Despite the dangers posed by these natural predators, people have proven to be far more dangerous to beavers then the rest.
Intoduction by me.
