Tom's Chocolate Toastie Supreme Ingredients: 2 slices of bread 50 gram bar of dark chocolate Instructions: Chop chocolate up and layer in sandwich. Cook until the chocolate has melted right now through and sandwich is hot and steamy.
Continental Breakfast Toastie (a simple yet stylish alternative to breakfast in hall) Ingredients: 2 slices of wholemeal bread your favourite jam / marmalade Instructions: Spread jam/marmalade on bread, sandwich together, toast. BE CAREFUL when eating as jam gets very hot
Brunch Toastie (a simple yet stylish alternative to Sunday brunch in hall). Requires grill and microwave though. Ingredients: 1 quorn (or real if you must) sausage 1 tomato tomato puree ketchup 2 eggs milk 2 slices of wholemeal bread Instructions: Grill sausages and make scrambled egg (mix 2 eggs and milk together and microwave to suitable consistency stirring occasionally) Spread tomato puree on bread. Chop sausage and layer evenly on one piece of bread. Spoon a little scrambled egg on top of sausage, chop tomato on top of egg. Toast sandwich. Serve with lashings of ketchup and the remaining scrambled egg.
Vraiment Spanking (may require large student loan) Ingredients: 1 piece smoked salmon Philadelphia or similar soft cheese (Ros recommends Sainsbury's extra light Creamery - which is 95% fat free but tastes particularly spanking!!!) 2 slices of wholemeal bread Instructions: Spread cheese liberally on both pieces of bread. Slice smoked salmon into narrow strips and arrange evenly on top of cheese. Toast. Eat.
Tuna melt (a cheesy variation of Drunken Whore's Delight) Ingredients: 1 can tuna, drained tomato puree mature cheddar cheese 2 slices of wholemeal bread Instructions: Spread tomato puree on bread. Slice cheese and lay on bread. Place tuna (about half the tin) on top of cheese. Toast. Eat.
