Welcome
Welcome to the main page for Reading University Boat Club, to the left of the page are links to the different areas of this web site which hopefully contain all the information you need on Reading University Boat Club. We are at present an expanding club with over 100 new members joining this year. We cater for all levels of rowing, from absolute beginners to international athletes. So what ever standard you aspire too, we hope that with us you will pass that mark. At Reading University Boat Club we run four different squads, they are: a men's and women's senior squad, and a men's and women's novice squad. Information on these squads can be found at the Squads page. Our main aims as a club are to compete well at Henley Royal Regatta and Women's Henley, we are not quite up to winning either of these, but we are working on that. In addition, we hope to put out fast boats for Fours Head and the Eights Heads as well as winning medals at the BUSA regatta. We also have a strong sculling section, which is different to other universities. For the last two years we have entered a quad for the Fours Head, and in 1999 we entered a quad for the Queen Mother Challenge at Henley, which reached the quarter finals. A list a our races for this year can be seen in the races page, and a list of some of our results from the last few years can be seen in the results page. Our boathouses are some of the best student boathouses in the country and you can have a look around them at The Boathouse page. For more general pictures take a look at the pictures page to see what we look like on and off the water. To see what we get up to off the water look at the socials page. If you have any other questions about Reading University Boat Club, or rowing in general they try the Frequently Asked Questions Page. We hope you enjoy looking around our site, and come and visit us in person one day.
