History

Elizabeth's Cafe is a small cafe across the street from Vineyard Central Community Church, at the corner of Mills and Carter in Norwood, Ohio. Elizabeth's Cafe has been opening its doors in the morning to anyone needing a quick bite to eat or a cup of hot coffee. The cafe is part of the Community House and the people who work at the cafe do so on a voluntary basis. In the fall of 2001, the people of the Community House were praying for guidance and direction with the purpose of the morning cafe. At that time we noticed that a few of the teens from the alternative middle school were starting to venture in for hot chocolate. We recognized the financial difficulties of the teens and started to provide a free breakfast. We are buy food through donations from members of Vineyard Central and other Churches in Norwood. The majority of the students do not need to be at school until 8:50 but they show up when the doors are open at seven. We are forming healthy relationships and providing a safe place for teens to come express their feelings and problems.

And if he finds the missing sheep, he is happier about that one sheep then about the
ninety-nine that did not wander off.
In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones
should be lost. (Matthew 18:10-14)
