Glen Ian Edwin Lawson - Webmaster/President of Rusa
Hello! Goeie Dag! Sawubona! I have recently discovered that the United States has created a new ethnic group pertaining mainly to us South Africans. No longer do I tick Other or Caucasian in an Identification Form, but rather White African American! So to be politically correct, I am very proud to be a White African American, as well as thankful to be living on the greatest country of all, the United States of America. I have lived in Johannesburg, South Africa for fourteen years. I was there long enough to live in the New South Africa when Mandela came into power, for a couple of years before I moved. My family and I moved to South Carolina and lived there for three years. Now I live in Raleigh, North Carolina where I am earning my B.S. degree in Physics at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. My plans for Rusa have not yet been established, but I do know that Rusa will be the bottom base to hold up many ideas of mine as well as others. Between my family and I, we fly over the Atlantic Ocean several times a year, creating a secure line between RSA and USA. My current task at hand for Rusa will be to build several essay about debatable issues which I feel strongly about. I aim to introduce my readers with a unique point of view with a large amount of reliable sources to provide much heated discussions. All in the name of intellectual discussions. Another sub-section of Rusa will concetrate on the South African community in the United States. I've realized that there are about four web sites that already do this, but I'm thinking on a larger scale and focusing on the United States alone. I got some great ideas planned for Rusa, but it's going to take me some time, so please bear with me. If you would like to communicate with me for any reason, please feel free to e-mail me; we'll be more than happy to recieve any feedback from our visitors. |
