iBook G4 Macintosh also offers another line of laptops that are cheaper. But just recently, Macintosh has put G4's in their iBooks and keep the price constant! They have three iBook models with the option of having a 12 or 15 inch screen. There's less difference in power between the PowerBook and iBook now that Macintosh has replaced the G3 with the G4 processor in all iBooks. Essentially, all the top-notch features of the PowerBook have been substituted providing a good solid laptop that could fit anyone's budget. The iBook might not have the back-lit keyboard that adjusts according to outside light, but it runs Mac OS X with the powerful G4 on a beautiful flat screen. Ever since Microsoft began to offer thier software programs to run on Macintosh, the Apple has become a product worth mentioning as competition with Microsoft Windows based PCs. The biggest complaint computer users have against Macintosh is compatibility with Windows, now this excuse is obsolete. Not only can Mac OS X run Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, and even Windows XP the operating system, but it can run better than the MS-DOS based system. Macintosh computers are built on a UNIX infrastructure which is more stable and reliable than Microsoft's DOS system. If this is hard to believe, find out what kind of computer big corporations use and better yet, did you know that the US Government uses UNIX computers because of their stability.
