Salawin National Park ( Head Office) : Ban Mae Sa Larb
Bangkok-Thoeng-Li-Doi Tao-Hod-Mae Sariang-Mae Sa Larb-Salawin National Park ( Head Office ) – It takes about 12 hours. ( The distance from Mae Sa Riang – Head Office  is about 5  kilometers) For the way back to Bangkok, we can take the route : Mae Sariang-Sop Moei-Mae La Noi-Mae Sod-Tak-Bangkok which is the scenic down-hill way ,but it is rather isolated for anyone who have hardly travelled.

Salawin National Park : Ban Tha Ta Fang Unit
The trip to Ban Tha Ta Fang Unit has two alternatives : the first one is  travelling by car from Mae Sariang to Ban Sam Laep ( about 40 kilometers) and then take the long-tailed boat upstream for half an hour to Ban Tha Ta Fang Unit. This is considered the most convenient way.  Another one is taking the path in the forest . This enable you to touch the real  Salawin Forest .  Drive 4 WD  vehicles from the Head Office along the path in  Salawin Forest , cross the mountains and more than 10 creeks , pass  the Refugee Center , go near Ban Tha Ta Fang and then arrive at Salawin National Park : Ban Tha Ta Fang Unit . It is about 30 km but the time spending is nearly 3 hours. It is suitable for the adventurous travellers. It is too difficult in rainy season , but winter is the best.

Ban Pho-saw – Sao Hin
From Mae Sariang to Mae Hong Son , take the route 108 about 3 km and then turn left to Ban Pho-saw about 54 km, passing the checkpoint of Salawin Wildlife Sanctuary  . From this point, during  rainy season, 4 WD vehicle is a must to be used. Ninety  kilometers before arriving at Ban Pho-saw , there is a turn - right way to Ban Sao Hin which is about 30 km , needing to pass the number of creeks. If they are flooded, it is impossible to get across.

Tham Kaew Komol National Forest
Tham Kaew Komol is at Amphur Mae La Noi , on the highway No 108 : Mae Sariang-Mae Hong Son It is about 30km from Mae Sariang . Off the main road ,turn right along the asphalt road about 5 kilometers.
