 September was a fantastic month for Kai. He was active, sound, and as happy as we had seen him in a long time. The x-rays came back fuzzy as we had to schedule a retake of those, but otherwise it was the first month in a long time without a vet call. Even with the change to cooler weather, Kai was tearing things up and looking great.I had a photographer come out and do a photoshoot of the Kai-man and I! In addition to being his beautiful-self, Kai was feeling great, and with the help of three people I decided to try and get on my boy. I was pretty nervous, and he was too, but the picture were SO worth it! And then two days later I decided to try it again. You've never seen a horse so excited to see a saddle, and he practically threw his head into the bridle! He was still super unsteady, and probably not what you would call safe to ride, but he was proud of himself, and I was proud of him, and I was so happy to be back on him - even if it was just walking around half the arena! What a good boy...he tries so hard!! The pictures came back and are gorgeous, now I just have to decide which ones to order!
