Physical Appearance: Of average height and weight, K'tani does not really stand out, instead just looking like any man, really - not more handsome or ugly than anyone else. His hair is close-cropped to his skull, a light brown salt-and-pepperish color, and he always seems to have that five-o'clock shadow following him, adding to his appearance. His eyes are his strong-suit, being a dark blue, almost navy, color. There is a bit of evidence that somewhere back in his history he had an oriental ancestor, as his eyes are a bit almond-shaped. K'tani's skin is tanned from years in the sun working first as a fishercraft apprentice and then as a dragonrider, dotted with scars from falls and hooks that could not have been prevented. His worst injury is on his back running from his left shoulder across his back and around to his torso from Thread only three turns ago. Unlike the rest of his skin this mark is a still a reddish purple, standing out against the rest of his bac! k and front. He almost always wears blues and blacks, generally form-fitting clothing to try and accent his very few muscules, and most of his normal clothing also serves as his flight garb.

Personal Information: K'tani takes everything in stride, and though at times he may be ashamed of something he realizes the good behind it and embraces it. Even though he never had any real contact with his daughter, K'tani was a good father as he spent as much time as he could with her teaching her about his family and his life, and even introducing her once to her grandmother, a retired greenrider. He is a strong leader with a good mind and a strong will, and he knows how to get things done without being hasty about everything. He is calm and serene, and has a touch of empathy with him that allows him to get in touch with his wing unlike most people would be able to do. K'tani is very intelligent, smarter than the average, and he is good at memorizing things. If he was not a brownrider he could easily be a Weyrleader if his dragon was strong enough.

History: Born Kitani, son of K'tason and Atania of Ista Weyr, Kitani was quickly fostered out as both of his parents were dragonriders. He landed first with the milkmother Dakla and finally with the fostermother Reurna, already fostering two other children or riders - Tilekka and Miseen. Kitani never adapted to not having a real mother and father, so at thirteen he was Apprenticed to the fishercraft in Ista Hold for a brief stint of three years until he realized that it was a dragonrider he always wanted to be, not a fisher. He trekked back home to Ista Weyr, and stood as a candidate for three hatchings until the brown Evernoth came into his life.

After Impression he took the honorific K'tani, and quickly became a skilled leader even though he was not a bronze-rider, only a brown's. He did not let that affect him, and only nine years after graduation received the rank of wingsecond, except with that rank came a small gift to the world no one expected. The day after his promotion K'tani found out that a greenrider named Elleka was pregnant with his child, the result of her green Reyeith's maiden mating flight. As the girl was only 19, K'tani was ashamed to be a father at only twenty seven. But he was supportive, and together they welcomed into the world Eltania, a baby girl. They quickly fostered her out, but both watched as the girl grew into a candidate herself, her father now the forty-one year old wingsecond K'tani. Eltania Impressed the green Jeneth at fourteen, two months before her father transferred to Scyjavor Weyr to accept a wingsecond position at the growing new Weyr.

Emotional Description: Evernoth is a quick-witted dragon whom is good at conveying his rider's thoughts to the other dragons around him. Evernoth adapts quickly to his given situation and has a good repetoire with his rider, allowing for a good relationship with very few strains - he knows what the man's feelings are and does not intrude when he wants to be alone. Evernoth is quiet but still willing, and he is a big fan of water - everytime he sees the ocean or a lake, even a river, he will quickly ask to be able to go swim, unless they are on other duties, like flying Threadfall.
Physical Description: Larger than a normal brown, Evernoth is the same size as a small bronze. His wings and tail are out or proportion to the rest of his body, longer than they should be for his body length, but that does not stop him. His color is a light burnt sienna color, with a bit of darkness under his wings and lighter colors on his chest. He has five very light colored scars on him - two on his back from the accident three years ago which left K'tani with his deep back scar, one on his neck, one on his left forearm, and one at the base of his tail.
