Physical Appearance: Ph'sar is a tall, lean, but muscular man. His eyes and hair are dark brown. At one time he was a rakishly handsome lad with a quick grin and eyes that were full of mischief. Now a long thread scar runs from his left temple to his jaw line and continues on his chest. Ph'sar holds himself straight and tall and walks with an easy rolling gate. He speaks in a soft but assured voice that makes people stop and listen.

Personal Information: Ph'sar has a solid personality, with an inner strength that makes him the most admirable of friends and the most feared of enemies. He is on the serious side as he must be, but does enjoy the pleasures of life when there is time to do so, and enjoys them in the fullest. Any foolishness left over from his youth departed with the long painful recovery after a nearly fatal thread scoring. He returned to the Weyr even more dedicated to the battle against Pern's greatest enemy. Ph'sar also came back to an empty cot. His longtime mate had returned to the north and a union with a childhood friend. It left Ph'sar bitter and somewhat reclusive for a time, but his natural gregarious tendencies won out in the end.

History: Ph'sar always had a hard time with his foster parents; he never got any thanks for any work done and always worked hard and was given all the dirty jobs, e.g. cleaning the latrines, the stables, etc. His foster father never liked him and made his life hard, and though his foster mother was proud of him she was too afraid of her husband to stand up for Phaesar. He was surprised when he was chosen on Search and just glad to be away from the hold. He worked hard when discovered on Search; the dragon told her rider that Phaesar could tend eye ridges really well after seeing to hers. He impressed his first time out on the sands easily, and found finally some real happiness in Phyzath. From then on Ph'sar knew he'd always truly be loved and cared for. It was later after Ph'sar graduated from weyrling training that he learned the truth behind his foster parents. His foster father was actually his uncle, and Seira _was_ his real mother. He also learned his real father was a dragonrider living at High Reaches Weyr. He promptly took Seira away from her abusive husband to live at Scyjavor Weyr where she'd be happier, and safe. Ph'sar and Phyzath had been at Long River Weyr for two turns when an upward current had landed a tangle of Thread on both rider and dragon. Had it not been for their experience and Phyzath's quick reflexes, they would not have come out between just above the Weyr Floor. Phyzath's wings were so damaged, he could not have used them. Ph'sar and Phyzath have returned to the Weyr stronger and wiser, and later Phyzath came to catch the Queen's gold, making Ph'sar Weyrleader. He later transfered to Scyjavor whenever Long River Weyr was destroyed.
