Name: A'lais
Age: 23 Residence: Western Cove Weyr Dragon Colour: Bronze Dragon Name: Windath Dragon Age: 5 Description: Physical: A'lais is a tall man of 6'3", his golden brown hair sweeps across his eyes, and is kept cut short. Well muscled with a lean toned figure, his skin is a deep bronze tan, a pale white line across his right cheek from a close call with thread. He has sparkling clear blue eyes, and a young handsome face. A'lais carries an air of nobility about him and is easily picked as a bronzerider. His prefered clothes are a pair of dark brown suple leather boots and pants, with a blue, cream, green, white cotton shirt. His riding gear is the same well worn dark brown. His gather best is a pair of dark brown boots and pants with a harper blue shirt with silver embroidered sleeve cuffs and collar. Emotional: A'lais not only has a noble air but a noble attitude, dependable, kind hearted and gracious. A'lais cares about everyone and everything around him, taking time to help people he finds in need, this kind of noble attitude is not often found. His gentleness with those timid or insecure, and children too is admirable, as is his patience which seems to be unlimited. But A'lais one flaw that runs deep is that because he is always helping everyone else he never gives anytime for himself, this can lead to him missing sleep or food just to help someone out. All his duties are taken very seriously, and will no be shirked no matter what, he encourages others to do the same as well. History: A'lais born Adelais, was the son of a minor holder south of Fort Weyr, the eldest of four and only male child, Adelais grew up the favoured child and his parents being very traditional Fortians raised him as such, meaning he had a foster mother, as his mother hated every minute of pregnancy and looking after a baby. His three sisters suffered in silence, Adelais probably would have become an arrogant man if not for his little sisters and the state of poverty around him due to his parents greed. Being born of kind and gentle heart helped too as he grew he often went against his parents will to help others, and him being the only male and his mother unable to bear anymore children due to his youngest sister's difficult birth, he was not disowned but instead cautioned and punished for what he did. However it did not deter him from it in anyway or form. When he was 15 search riders came west from a newly established Weyr named Amaya, searched by them, Adelais accepted against his parents wishes, however it was not to be, as a Searchrider has to obey a parents wishes. Under the cover of darkness however Adelais bundled up his sisters, Adalie(8), Alecia(5) and Arya(3) and with the help of his foster mother Delmira. It didn't take long to find shelter in another hold, they moved around a bit for a year, Delmira passing away from firehead on the journey leaving the girls in Adelais' care. This matured the young man greatly and had a great influence on the man he became, often giving up his share of food to feed his sisters, their hard times opened his eyes to the world and he grew up. No more than a month after his 16th turning he was searched by an Amayan Searchrider for the second time and this time he accepted. Adelais and his sisters then moved off to Amaya weyr, there Adelais stood as a candidate for two turns not impressing, he was glad though because it meant he had more time for his sisters, especially, Arya who was a tender 4 turns when she came with her brother to Amaya. It was just after Adelais' 18th turning when he stood for Hanukath's first clutch. It was then he impresses to the blackish bronze Windath. It was hard at first being away from his sisters, but when he graduated he realised how much it was worth it and was glad he was able to protect them and others through being a dragon rider. A turn after graduation, A'lais with his clutchmate and fellow bronzer T'shin of Barreth were assigned as Wingseconds to the same wing. This resposibility was a great change in A'lais life which he embraced. The next change happened shortly after his 22nd birthday when Amaya Weyr became unstable and the volcano blew causing many to flee. The evacuation to the eastern side of the Far Western Continent caused the riders to stumble across Western Cove Weyr, a Weyr they hadn't even known existed on the same continent with them.
They stayed with the Western Cove riders till another more suitable Weyr was found, south of Western Cove in another sheltered bay. A'lais however was no one to move with the others, forfeiting his rank as Wingsecond to start a new life at Western Cove. That and having a stable place for his sisters was most important to him. Now 23 turns A'lais is watching his two of his sisters stand as candidates, Adalie, now a beautiful and self aware young 16 turn old, and Alecia an increidably spunky and lively 13 turn old. Arya now a stunning but still shy 11 turn old can't wait for her turn to stand like her sisters are. Her brother being her idol, A'lais gives everything for his sisters, they're most important to him as is Windath. He only hopes his sisters impress as he has and that they too can be happy now free of their parents.
Windath is as noble as his rider, kind hearted, impecably polite. Incredibly gentle with those smaller than himself. However like the rising storm Windath takes on a totally different personality during wing drills and thread fall. Like a raging storm, Windath becomes a fearless fighter and leader. Decisive and to the point he accepts no excuse for laziness, lateness or carelessness and will berate anyone who displays one or more of those traits around those times. In flights he is very competetive and determined, whilst he has not won many flights he gives everyone of them 110%.
