Age: 31 Residence: Western Cove Weyr Rank: Temporary Weyrlingmaster Dragon Name: Roryath Dragon Colour: Bronze Dragon Age: 11 Description: Physical: Sh'ayne stands at a tall 6'3" he has a medium frame though he is on the leaner side in the weight range, being only 170lbs but by no means is he not intimidating in his own right.Sh 'ayne had messy sandy blonde hair and the most striking green eyes, his skin is a deep tan hinted with red from working in the heat of the forge once upon a time. Sh'ayne wears clothes that are built for comfort and practiacality, usually a long pair of loose pants and a short sleeved shirt. He wear thick soled boots to protect his feet against any sparks that fly off the metal he works, although now it's just to protect his feet from being stepped on by an errant weyrling. Sh'ayne had many burn marks as are expected for someone so long in the Smith craft and everyone of them he wears with pride. Emotional: Sh'ayne is very straight but just because he is doesn't mean he hates gay people. No in fact he is more accepting of them than most. Originally Sh'ayne sought to become a well known Smith but since being search his goals have changed to becoming an accomplished rider, which were fulfilled when he impressed Roryath. Sh'ayne is a very loyal person, and very dependable, but he does have a temper which more often than not gets the better of him. Sh'ayne has a very one step at a time attitude to life, he is a leader but realises that one must take things one step at a time to make any progress. Sh'ayne hates it when people don't tell the truth or tip toe around it's a pet peeve of his and he more often than not looses his temper because of it.
Sh'ayne is a man who always likes to be organised, whilst it doesn't bother him if someone messes up his organisation he does mind when it comes to his work. He is very precise with his work and can get quite frustrated if someone distrubs him. Sh'ayne has settled down somewhat since his impression to Roryath and is much calmer and more suited to his work now that he teaches the Weyrlings, well since the previous Weyrlingmaster died, leaving Sh'ayne in charge. He's more approachable and is easier to talk to making it possible for anyone weyrling or otherwise to come sit down and just talk with him.
At 20 turns, 8 turns since his apprenticeship to the Hall, after he'd gotten his Jr Journeymanship in the Smith craft a dragon came by the Hall and searched him. The masters of the hall granted their permission for him to go the the Weyr, when Shayne asked why he was sat down by the Hall master who told him about his father. The Hall master had grown up with Shayne's father in the same Smith hall he was the Hall master of. He told him of his father as a young boy wanting to become a dragonrider, how he apprenticed to the Smith craft and was searched at the same age as Shayne. How he was denied the right to go to the Weyr the Hall master forbidding him. He told Shayne of how his mother met his father and how he slowly let his dream go every once in a while regreting it. He also told Shayne of his older sister and how she was a blue rider at the Weyr he was going to. Told him that was why he was letting him go the the Weyr, letting him accept the search. So Shayne left the home he'd known his entire life and became a candidate at Western Cove Weyr.
It was there he impressed on his first standing to Roryath, a dependable bronze with a brown like attitude. The pair passed Weyrlinghood with flying colours and went on to become assistants to the Weyrlingmaster till his death promoted Sh'ayne temporarily to Weyrlingmaster.
