Name: Tayven
Age: 27
Residence: Western Cove Weyr
Rank: Acting Sr. Weyrwoman
Dragon Name: Cydith
Dragon Colour: Gold
Dragon Age: 10

Description: Physical: Ungainly as a young girl, Tayven grew to the height of 6' with a muscular frame. Her weight of 175 lbs, par of which is from her only child, who is fostered out at High Reaches Weyr, makes her look gracious when she walks. Because of this she can always be found wearing trousers and tunics that fit her frame. During Gathers, Tayven wears gowns that cling to her body but allows room for her legs, which have scars all over them from her being a klutz when she was younger. Tayven's auburn hair is kept short. It will also bleach out to a strawberry red with the help of the sun. Her hazel-green eyes have an almost evil look to them until she smiles, leaving you a competent, intelligent young woman.

Emotional: Though recently distraught over losing not only a friend but the Senior Weyrwoman, to an accident. Tayven is usually head-strong but fair, by hearing both sides of the story first then making her decision. With time Tayven will make an excellent Senior Weyrwoman. Tayven is a problem-solver and will look at every angle to solve the problem from the simplest squabble to the knock-down, drag-out fights, without belt knives, of course. Tayven has a good sense of humor and will smile at the silliest joke.

History: Tayven is weyrbred, born out of passion to a weyrmated couple, a brownrider and a kitchen worker. She wasn't fostered like most children since her mother wasn't a dragonrider, but she had a couple of foster siblings that she grew up with.

Tayven enjoyed the company of the Headwoman and could always be found near her working on any task the Headwoman gave her, mainly problem solving. Her mother was always worried that she was bugging the Headwoman until the Headwoman told her it was a pleasure to have Tayven around to do some of the odd work she never had the time to get to.

Tayven was Searched at the same time as Tateena and they two became good Friends. When the Hatching came, they both stood for the little queen, but Karyth Impressed upon Tateena instead of Tayven. At first, Tayven was upset but then she thought it just wasn't meant to be. Tayven didn't give up. During Tayven's candidancy, she was granted permission, much to her delight, to work with the Headwoman and took her tasks seriously. Tayven did get into some trouble, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Three Turns later, Tayven stood for Karyth's first queen egg clutch. The little canary yellow queen Impressed upon Tayven just barely out of the shell. With Tayven's Impression of Cydith, Tayven and Tateena became even closer friends.

When Tateena was given permission to open Western Cove Weyr, Tayven volunteered to accompany her friend. Tateena and Tayven were quite the pair as they embarked on this new problem. Though her parents were sad to see her go, they were happy that she wanted to go instead of being forced to go, though they weren't going Tayven felt that she would always have a home. Tayven goes and visits them when another queen rises at Western Cove Weyr.

Western Cove Weyr was prospering under Tateena's leadership with the help of her Junior Weyrwoman Tayven, until the accident that left a clutch on the Sands and the Weyr in mourning.

Tayven and Cydith rise to the problem, Tayven becomes acting Weyrwoman until the next queen rises and by Tayven's calculations it will be Cydith. Cydith keeps watch over Karyth's eggs, one of which is a gold, the next Junior Queen.

Dragon Description: Cydith is a bit smaller then her mother, coming to only 38 meters in length with a wingspan of 42 meters. She is a canary yellow gold turning a blinding yellow gold before she rises and a light maize gold when egg heavy. Cydith is very laid back except during Threadfall. She enjoys watching the weyrlings play as they grow up. Cydith has a sensitive side to her and it helps out a lot when there are injured dragons and riders.
