Wavy, jet, black hair falls down his back to just between his shoulder blades kept in a leather thong for neatness. X'tav tans easily and will keep his tan through most of the winter solstice. X'tav has the usually scrapes and scars form childhood. His chocolate brown eyes with hazel flecks are his most distinct feature. His left will look at you while his right eye will look off a different direction i.e. a lazy eye. Both work just fine. Emotional: X'tav has been emotionally scarred. He was always teased because of his eyes from the Hold children. But his out-look on life is 'live life to the fullest and enjoy', which he as done, so far. Since his Impression, X'tav has settled down but still has his care-free spirit. History: X'tav was born to an unknown bronzerider from one of the Northern Weyrs and Xavtana, a beautiful woman from Southern Hold, a kitchen worker there. He was conceived during an elaborate Gather that the new Lord Holder was putting on due to his succession. Xatav grew up in a normal Hold fashion; doing chores, firelizared egg hunting; etc. One day, out firelizard egg hunting, Xatav came across a mound in the beach sands. He uncovered an egg mound and from the size of the eggs, it was a gold's clutch. He stole one of the eggs hoping its either a gold or a bronze that will hatch out. A full sevenday and Xatav's egg hatched. Out rolled a rather large-sized bronze, which sneezed. Xatav named the bronze Achi, from his sneezing when he hatched. When Xatav became sexually aware, he started getting confused. He would look at the girls along with the other boys like normal but he felt nothing. But when he would watch the boys from afar, he would feel warm in his nether regions. So confused by this he never told his mother. Just after his 16th Birthing day, some Searchriders came to Southern Hold, declaring they were on Search. One of the blues sniffed Xatav out, who told his rider that Xatav would Impress at his first Standing. The blue's rider informed the Holder, Xavtana, and Xatav, what was said by his blue. The Holder and Xavtana gave their blessings for Xatav to go with the dragonriders. Xatav climbed up behind the blue's rider, waved to his mother as the Wingleader gave the signal to fly. Xatav was instructed on what to do as he listened to the humming of the imminent Hatching to come. He was encouraged to change into his Candidate robes. Then he was escorted onto the Hatching Sands, which waited a very big clutch of 32 eggs, without a queen egg. The eggs were rocking violently. Just as the boys and girls made their semi-circle around the eggs, a bronze broke shell. A good omen for the dragonriders. Xatav watched several dragonets Impress. He watched two blues, a brown, and a green make their way towards him, two other boys and a girl. The girl Impressed the green, one of the boys Impressed a blue. As Xatav watched the brown, he heard "Hello, I'm Trylath and I'm hungry" Xatav looked down into the swirling rainbow orbs of the other blue, the color of a deep sapphire blue. Tears streaming down his cheeks with happiness, letting Trylath know things were ok. Achi winged around their heads bugling with glee. Weyrlinghood went as usual for X'tav, Trylath, and Achi until Trylath reached maturity. By this time, X'tav realized he found males more attractive then females. But X'tav found that Trylath's choice in greens were good until he found out that the green's had female riders. X'tav and Trylath argued about that quite often.
X'tav requested a transfer to Western Cove Weyr, when he heard about their open. He was granted permission a sevendays later. The following sevenday, X'tav, Trylath, and Achi burst out of /between/, bugling a greeting to the watchdragon of Western Cove Weyr.
