Rikili Ella Falls

A 30m (66ft) water fall flowing over a rock close to the road from Bulathkohupitiya to Dedugala (5km off).

According to villagers this was a giant (even up to 15yr back), but receded due to the deforestation....now an insignificant water stream...

Rukmal Ella Falls

A curtain of water spraying on-lookers flows to the Kelani river close to 13km off Bulathkohupitiya. This is about 20m high and during rainy season the water even comes up to the bridge rail we were leaning.

By the way...this is my Family..........

Devagiri Ella Falls

Little is known about this water fall which is in the height of our ascends to Dedugala --> Upper Palanpitiya. The road is good and motorable up to the co-operative shop where we park our vehicle. There is a foot path leading to the water fall through tea plantations.......only about 150m....we were guided by a school boy.

This water fall can be seen off Kalupahana a village along the road to Dedugala, and can be seen as a "sari"-a female garment- and is giant and a very beautiful fall. It is about 40m (150ft).

This is a photograph taken through a 50mm lens.
