Cheap Toliet Paper is the Cause of Many Bad Things
- Ryuu
I go to a public school, and the school system seems to enjoy saving money by skimping on important sanitary equipment. Our wonderful school board, and their financial advisors, constantly order cheap toilet paper for the bathrooms. While the texture is not the most pleasant thing to experience, my hand getting wet with fluids tends to make me angrier.
I have found that in order to successfully leave the bathroom stall with dry hands, I must fold a piece of this special school toilet paper over seven times. Even then, I must be careful to not be dripped on.
Seven layers of cheap paper. Wouldn't less money be wasted if the school board decided to order two-ply? Then, a student would have to fold over only once, and that would be out of habit, not need.
Two-ply is also a more comfortable solution to the cheap notebook paper posing as toilet paper. A happy bathroom environment equals a good learning environment. How is one supposed to learn when he/she just wiped with money saving equipment?
The school system should realize that by now, most teenagers know how to use the correct amount of toilet paper without overflowing the toilet, or using too much. Teenage boys hardly ever use the stuff, but even they know how.
If I were to walk out of the bathroom with this cheap toilet paper stuck to my shoe, I would feel no embarrassment, because no one would be able to prove that it is not notebook paper. I want to suffer the common nerd embarrassment. I want real toilet paper stuck to my shoe!
Cheap toilet paper has also been proven to be a cause of infection. Many younger children do not wash their hands, even if those hands get wet. Think about the door handles, faces, books, and chairs those wet hands touch. Think of the germs those hands breed. Infections are the cause of plagues. Should the return of the black plague be a result of cheap paper?
We must stop this horrible problem! Protest for better toilet paper! Start a petition or other means of protest stated in the constitution!
In the meantime, you can start bringing your own two- ply.
