“Mr. A-Z,” brought to you by singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, hit stores July 26th. You may remember Mr. Mraz from hits like “The Remedy” and “You and I Both”. In his latest album, he puts a clever twist on everything he can get his hands on; thus the title of this album, an inventive play on his name.

His songs range from fast and upbeat, like “Geek in the Pink,” to slow and soulful, like “Mr. Curiosity.” His ability to rap as well as sing only enhances each song. He spits out lyrics at a speed that would cause other singers to stumble over the words.

The lyrics are as quick as he himself and never without meaning. He plays with familiar sayings and twists them with apparent ease. As he sings in one of his songs, he’s all about the wordplay.

Some of his more popular songs on this CD include “Geek in the Pink” and “Wordplay”. Those these are up there on my own list of personal favorites, but I’d have to put “Did You Get My Message?” and “O. Lover” up
there too.

I recommend this CD to old fans and newcomers alike. There’s something on there for everyone. Each song is different; the style is original. The lyrics are clever and amazing. I suggest “Mr. A-Z” to all.
