Here's what to do. First, go to http://www.oocities.org/homestead/file_manager.html When you get there, you will have to enter your membername and password. Your password is in the letter from GeoCities. Now, after entering this information, click Submit. A page will load listing the files located in your homepage. At this time, there will just be one called index.html This is a page GeoCities puts on the site to tell people you have not moved in yet. The first thing to do it click on the little box next to the name of the file. Then, go down and click on the word Rename Another box will come up. In this second box, type the words geoindex.html do not use any capital letters. Click on Rename files Now, go lower on the page where you will find the E Z File Upload. There are two boxes on the top---put a check in each of these boxes. There are also 5 boxes with the word Browse next to them. Go to the first one, and click on the Browse button. This will open a box. Use the box to locate the HTML file you created earlier. click on this file, and then on open. It will transfer the name of the file to the window next to the Browse button. Now, do this for any other pages you may have created. OK, now for the graphics. Click on the Browse button, and when the box opens, go to the folder where the graphics are stored (or to the desktop if this is where they are) At the bottom of the box, there is a pull down box Open it and go down to All Files When all the files are showing, find the graphic you want to upload, and click on it. Then click on Open. Repeat this step for each file you want to upload. Be sure to get all the graphics and files you have used in creating your html pages. If you use up all the spaces, just click on Upload Files and wait for a little bit while the files are uploaded to your site. Repeat the above steps until everything is uploaded. Now, it is time to actually make your site visible. *smile* Find the page you want to show when people come to your site. Put a check mark in the box next to the file name. Go down to Rename, click it, and when the box opens, type in index.html Then click on Rename Files. That should do it. Tomorrow, I will tell you how to link two pages together in your site.
