Learning by Using![]() If you've upgraded to Windows95 from Windows 3.x, your Windows95 'Windows' sub-directory might be named Win95 or W95. If that is the case, the graphics and files that I've referenced aren't making any sense to your browser, and, I'll need to write more pages!! Please write me, here, and, I'll start typing... Are you ready? I'm about to introduce you to your computer from a browser window. If you are one of those people who uses your computer for word processing, some e-mail, and games, but, would rather not delve too deeply into the workings of the Windows95 Operating System (OS), or, wouldn't want to click too many mysterious icons, this page might help you to break out of that shell. If you know what a C:\ prompt is, can change your monitor's screen resolution without blinking, and either re-install Windows95 by yourself, or, replace your Registry Files, this site is probably way beneath your interest level!!
The majority of the links upon these pages, and, all of the AVIs, are referenced directly to your computer. If exploring your computer from a browser window strikes you as odd, I don't blame you. The first time I clicked a link that opened a file upon my computer, I immediately shut down my Internet session (after saving the page, for it's source coding, of course...). If you don't like this idea, there's a compromise, as these web pages are fully functional off-line. Simply save the web pages, and the JPEGs and GIFs, inside a folder somewhere, and end your current Internet session. Then, restart your browser, off-line, and drag the IntroW95.html page into it, and, 'surf' your computer! Browser IdiosyncraciesThis page explains how the browser you're using, or, one close to it, will react to these pages, and links. If you want to know what to expect, this page is for you."How do you know what files are on my computer?"This page explains a little about how I know which files are located upon your computer, and, where they might be.My 'History' with ComputersThis page details my experience with computers. I can't type more because I'm laughing at my own sarcasm.Windows95 Text Files![]() This page has links to the various text files that Windows95 places upon computers during installation.
