Expansion
of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc.
The ladies
of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. are actively seeking ladies
with strong values, beliefs, and morals who wish to
join our sisterhood of respect, loyalty and
friendship. We are a non-hazing organization. We do not believe in degrading our sisters before allowing them to join our circle but rather have a respectable process that allows interested ladies the opportunity to get to know about our sisterhood as well as concentrate on servicing the community and their individual academic achievement.

Forming an interest group and establishing a colony of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. is the opportunity of a lifetime. This unique privilege can only be awarded to true trailblazers with the vision that our founding mothers had of bringing select Ladies together to make a difference. Established Chapters/Colonies
If you are interested in joining one of our established chapters or colonies please contact our Director of Undergraduate Relations for further information.
In order to be considered for membership/pledgeship to our sorority at an established chapter or colony, the following requirements must be fulfilled:
1. Complete
an application that has been signed and turned in
to the executive board by a specified date
2. Maintain a grade point average of at
least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. If you are a first-time
student at the university, your high school GPA
will be considered. If you are a transfer student,
your GPA from the previous college/university will
be considered
3. Be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours)
or part-time (6 credit hours) if an undergraduate.
If you are a graduate student, you must be enrolled
full-time (9 credit hours) or part-time (6 credit
hours) .
4. A satisfactory interview must be conducted by
all active members of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc.
5. Successfully complete the pledge semester,
meeting all requirements as set forth by the executive
board and pledge director.
Our purpose
is to promote leadership and encourage women to succeed
in life through higher education. No person shall be denied entry into Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. on the basis of ethnicity, religion, age, handicap, marital status or sexual orientation.
