Our Mission

The mission of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. is to promote the importance of community service involvement and academic achievement as well as to educate and excel the stance of Latino cultures in this diversely enriched society.

Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. is committed to uniting women through community service involvement and academic achievement. We come together as sisters and develop strong women who will become leaders in the local as well as the national community. Since 1992 sisters in Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. have been agents of change in their respective fields of study and at their respective universities.

The undergraduate chapters of our sisterhood help the community they are a part of through various arenas. The outstanding women who form our sisterhood are true examples of what a Señorita is.

Community Service

The ladies of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. ensure the quality of life in their areas is improved through the many different community service projects they host and participate in throughout the year.

Cultural Awareness

Our foundation being a cultural group, the undergraduate chapters and our members provide several different opportunities for their respective campuses to enjoy and learn from.

Academic Achievement

The ladies of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. above all else are at their undergraduate institutions to further their education. There is a minimum GPA required to join and continue to be an active member of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. Each member keeps a log of study hours and individual chapters form study groups in order to ensure academic success
