And Now a Word From Our Sponsor
A television commercial is really a very short movie with a very simple message. [Except for the infomercials, of course, which are not so short]. Sometimes, the commercials are better than the programs they interrupt. [Remember the frogs and lizards during the recent Superbowls? Not to mention the cat ranch ads. Now, who won the last three Superbowls?]
The following are a few commercials that I think ought to appear on TV from time to time. For the most part the actual products are fictitious, but a few are quite real. In other cases the product is fictitious but a parody of something real.
I wrote each of the following ads in twenty minutes or less, so it doesn't take much time. Let's see if we can fill up this page with ads the way real Saturday morning television is filled with them.
While we're talking (well, while I'm talking and you're reading) I think it would be great if some of you with access to a video camera and a real or artificial mud pit were to put together a video of what appears on this page. If anyone wants to do that I will be very cooperative regarding copyright permission. All I ask is that you ask.

Are you an artist?
If you are an artist, professional or reasonably talented amateur, I would be happy to have you display your work here in the form of an illustration or two for a script or story. Upon request I will also include your copyright notice and your email address where persons may contact you if interested in seeing more of your work. All I ask is that the illustration be clearly related to the story or script to which it is attached. The best approached would be, I think, to submit a series of three to maybe ten illustrations that all go with a single story. Please send such items to my email address or post them somewhere privately and let me know where to download them. Email attachments sent from totally unidentifiable sources that I do not recognize will not be opened due to the risk of viruses.
Are you a photographer?
The invitation to artists above applies to photographers, computer animators, and anyone with appropriate, relevant materials.
